Ellmau sits in one of the prettiest settings in the Alps – between the Kitzbüheler Alps and the majestic Wilder Kaiser mountains. The relaxed village centre has a range of shops and is dotted with cosy bars and cafés. In the local area, the Astberg skiing has some good runs and gives great views of the Kitzbühel valley. For the more adventurous the Hartkaiser links you into the fantastic Ski Welt circuit linking 8 resorts with 279km of piste. You’ll find a great atmosphere both in the rustic bars and restaurants on the mountain and down in the lively village bars
Local post-bus service from Ellmau to the towns of Worgl, St Johann and Kufstein (all of which are on main railway lines). Free ski-bus for guest card-holders, serving Ellmau village and immediate surrounds. Operates 2 different routes, stopping at major hotels and guesthouses, from 9am to 5pm daily (weather-related delays and alterations possible).

A great resort for families and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. There is also much for the more accomplished skier and snowboarder with the enourmous Ski Welt area linking the resorts of Going, Itter, Söll, Scheffau, Hopfgarten, and Westendorf.
