Resort Information for Kitzbuhel, Austria
A delightful 14th-century town with narrow streets and brightly painted medieval houses, this world-famous resort was one of the pioneers of alpine skiing, catering for fans of the sport since the 1920s. Although it has a much wider range of visitors now, it retains its original glitz and glamour and still attracts the rich and famous. Caught within a wide loop in the railway line, the centre measures around 1 ml NW to SE, with the rest of the town straggling N, hugging the river.
A reliable ski-bus service included with the lift pass covers Hahnenkamm, Kitzbuheler Horn, Kirchberg, Fleckalm, Jochberg, Bichlalm and Pass Thurn ski-areas. Mainline railway and regular buses offer good services to neighbouring resorts of Worgl, Innsbruck, Zell am See and farther afield.

Around 100 restaurants offer a wide range of international and local cuisine from burgers to exquisite gourmet meals. Cafes abound, serving apres-ski drinks and delicious cakes.
